This year we’re asking each troop to volunteer 2-3 hours to help at our Service Unit level. Email us to learn more about our many open positions!
February 7th – Ice Skating
there is a Girl Scout ice skating event in Brooklyn Park from 2:15 – 3:45. Cost is $3.00 OR $5.00 (with patch) per person including skate rental. Details on registration, time, cost is in the attached document Skating+event (PDF).
February 15 – Cookie Kick-Off Pancake Breakfast
There will be a breakfast to help kick-off cookie go day at Famous Dave’s on 98th and Normandale. The event is from 8:00 10:30, registration is being completed through EventBrite. Cost is $2.00 per person for pancakes and sausage.
February 14 – 15 P.Y.N. Valley
PYN Valley (PYN stands for Powerful Youth Night). PYN is for girls in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades and will be held on February 14th and 15th, 2015. PYN is obviously a winter based camp but you sleep in indoors in heated spaces. We offer outdoor activities as well and indoor ones. The girls get to do one session each of an activity, skill, craft, and outdoor fun. The girls get to work on their cooking skills, learn how to work together while at camp to achieve different goals, participate in a talent show, have some new and fun experiences, and make new friends while bonding further with the girls in their troop.

February 21, 2015 World Thinking Day
Christ the King Church, 10:00 – 12:00, cost is $2.00/person + $1.25. The event will consist of stations where participants will learn song, dance, food, and crafts that represent other countries. You can use the 2015 Thinking Day document to register via mail or register through EventBrite for Thinking Day.
May 1 -3 Camporee, Camp Lakamaga
Come for the weekend or come for the day. This is an opportunity to meet Girl Scouts from the Bloomington Service Unit. More details coming on registeration, activities and details.
Date TBD – Bridging
Service unit event to celebrate all girls, especially those that are bridging to the next level of Girl Scouts.
Volunteers from all over Minnesota would like to extend to you an invitation to the Girl Scout Jamboree 2015. This event is open to all registered Girl Scouts who have completed the 6th grade up to 12th grade and Girl Guides between the ages of 12-18 by July 14, 2015. It will be held on the campus of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota-40 miles south of the Twin Cities. Maximum number of participants-1900
